This is one of the most exciting and high-potential Finance Director / CFO roles being recruited in the UK.

We Do Group are delighted to be managing an exclusive and retained search to find a new Finance Director for an entrepreneurial and fast-growth FinTech business based in Central London.

This is the number one role in finance and will take full ownership for all accounting, strategy, controls, FP&A, risk and commercial decision-making.

Our client is an investor-backed sub £50m turnover business with a very exciting future. I would describe them as a scale-up business with a start-up mindset.

This organisation has a clear plan to execute an exit within the next three years.

They have a highly entrepreneurial, fast-paced and creative board, which is complimented by some well-known and incredibly credible investors.

We are looking for an experienced Finance Director / CFO who has a track record in driving commercial growth, with some consumer leasing / leasing / asset finance experience.

Ideally, we are looking for someone who can immediately come in and execute what best-in-class looks like.

We need a hands-on finance leader who can tick the following boxes.

  • Consumer Leasing / Asset Finance Sector Experience – Essential.
  • Qualified Accountant with a strong academic background.
  • Have had a stable and progressive career.
  • Have a commercial and strategic mindset.

The Role

  • Act as a true business partner to the board, senior leadership team and investors.
  • Build, develop and manage a best-in-class finance function.
  • Manage all key external relationships – audit, legal, banks and investors.
  • Act as a visible business partner to key customers.
  • Take full responsibility for all statutory and legal accounting requirements.
  • Drive a best-in-class FP&A and MI function.
  • Oversee all processes, controls, IT and systems capability.
  • Implement controls and frameworks to manage and mitigate company risk.
  • Build and execute strategic roadmaps in line with board expectations.
  • Be a strong people leader with an effective communication style.
  • Oversee all budget requirements, planning and forecasts.
  • Manage all Tax and Treasury strategies.
  • Prepare and present all board packs and monthly management accounts.
  • Manage all investor relations.
  • Create a robust cashflow forecasting model.
  • Manage investor relationships, M&A and funding.
  • Leasing accounting - IFRS16.

  • Consumer Leasing / Asset Finance Experience.
  • Qualified Accountant with a strong academic background.
  • Hands-on ability to run and build a finance function.
  • Have a commercial and strategic mindset.
  • Have had a progressive and stable career to date.

Salary & Benefits

£175,000 – £220,000 + Strong Bonus & Exceptional Benefits.
