Are you a Qualified Accountant who is looking to step into a commercially important role at the heart of a PE-backed, high-growth business?

We’re recruiting a Senior Financial Accountant to take ownership of revenue recognition processes across a complex, multi-entity group. Backed by private equity and in a strong period of growth, the business is scaling fast and this role plays a pivotal part in ensuring accurate reporting, strong financial controls and continued process improvement.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring all revenue is recognised in line with FRS 102 and IFRS 15 principles, working closely with stakeholders across finance, sales and delivery, and supporting the development of financial systems including NetSuite and Salesforce.

WISH LIST

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience with Revenue Recognition Accounting
  • Solid understanding of FRS 102 and ideally IFRS 15
  • Experience in software, tech, SaaS, or multi-delivery contract environments
  • Hands-on and detail-oriented, with strong systems knowledge (NetSuite/Salesforce is a bonus)

THE ROLE

Revenue Recognition & Controls:

  • Review and validate contract data (bookings, renewals, and changes) to ensure accurate revenue treatment
  • Prepare and post revenue journals, ensuring recurring and non-recurring income is recognised in line with accounting policies
  • Maintain and reconcile deferred and accrued income accounts with full balance sheet support
  • Monitor provisions, service level agreements and associated documentation

Reporting & Business Partnering:

  • Deliver monthly revenue forecasts and variance analysis
  • Partner with sales, delivery and commercial teams to ensure financial accuracy and clear communication
  • Produce insights to support financial decision-making and margin improvement

Process Improvement & Projects:

  • Drive improvements in revenue processes and support finance system upgrades
  • Support the integration of newly acquired businesses
  • Help automate routine tasks and improve data flow between finance and other functions

Compliance & Audit:

  • Ensure revenue recognition aligns with internal controls and external standards
  • Support internal and external audits with relevant documentation and explanations

YOUR PROFILE

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) with at least 2 years post-qualified experience
  • Proven experience in revenue recognition accounting
  • Familiarity with FRS 102 and IFRS 15
  • Strong Excel and ERP skills (NetSuite or similar preferred)
  • Comfortable working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Collaborative and proactive, with strong attention to detail
  • Full UK driving licence
