Group Financial Accountant - Vendor Due Diligence

We Do Group is supporting an international financial services group with the hire of an interim accounting resource to focus on VDD requirements over a 3 month period.
You will be joining an established international organisation, operating well developed and stable ERP systems and processes, with a remit to support the Group FD, CFO and professional advisors with data, reporting and evidence during the VDD process.
We are looking for an experienced, fully qualified Financial Accounting professional who has had experience supporting VDD processes in a hands on capacity previously.
This position works closely with the Group Finance Director, CFO, professional advisors and international accounting colleagues.

The Role
The successful Group Financial Accountant will lead the following:
- Manage upload and provision of reporting, schedules and evidence into the data room as required by professional advisors and Group FD.
- Provision of historical financial statements, reconciled with audited accounts where applicable
- Contribute to quality of earnings analysis
- Prepare and provide accurate working capital, cashflow and net debt analysis as required.
- Assess consistency and appropriateness of accounting policies (with supporting evidence).
- Contribute to the identification of differences in accounting treatment that might impact valuation
- Prepare reports highlighting areas where management judgment or estimates significantly affect results
- Review management forecasts and budgets, assessing reasonableness compared to historical performance.
- Reconciliation of forecast assumptions with historical data and market benchmarks.
- Prepare high-level review of tax compliance and potential exposures with supporting evidence as required (corporate tax, VAT, payroll, transfer pricing)
- Respond promptly to any ad-hoc requests from professional advisors/consultants.

We are looking for an experienced, fully qualified, accounting professional who has worked with in complex organisations and gained experience of the vendor due diligence process and requirements.

This role is offered on a hybrid basis - in office presence is required once per week with occasional need for a second day in office.
