Our client is an innovative scale-up real estate business based in Central London and is on a fast growth trajectory across the Uk and Europe. They have a close knit team and established finance function but are looking to add resource to manage increased business demand.

This hands on Accounts Assistant role has a broad remit and will be reporting directly into the Finance Director. It offers a chance to gain real hands on month end experience while maintaining transactional accounting skills.

Wish List

  • Early stage ACCA/CIMA studier or AAT Level 3 and above
  • At least 2 years of experience in an accounts focused role
  • Knowledge of double entry/journal posting
  • A people person who is confident engaging with internal and external stakeholders daily.
  • Capable systems and Excel skills (experience with Vlookups and Pivot tables would be advantageous)

The Role

This Accounts Assistant role will be involved in the following:

  • Manage daily financial transactions (accounts payable & receivable)
  • Reconcile bank statements and company accounts
  • Maintain and update ledgers and financial records
  • Assist with payroll, staff expenses, and reporting
  • Post and reconcile intercompany transactions
  • Assist with month end reporting
  • Support with annual financial processes
  • Assist with annual budget preparation
  • Liaise with internal teams, auditors, and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with all financial policies and procedures

Your Profile

We are looking for an enthusiastic, humble and hard working finance professional who is looking to progress their career over the next 2-3 years.

You'll need a good grasp of double entry accounting, as well as exposure to accounts receivable and accounts payable, allied to a can-do mindset. There is real scope for this role to take on more accounting duties over time so it's key that you are keen to keep developing yourself professionally.

The ability to work effectively in Excel using Vlookups/Pivots would also be beneficial.

Salary & Benefits

£32,000-£33,000 plus study support and benefits as well as lots of social events and activities. This role is office based 5 days per week.
