Management Accountant

Employment type: Permanent
Salary: 45k/year - 55k/year

We Do Group are partnering with a founder led pharmaceutical business that is continuing to invest in its finance function as part of an exciting growth journey.

With increasing scale, complexity and ambition, the business is strengthening its internal team to support the next phase of development. This Management Accountant role has been created to work closely with the Financial Controller and play a key part in how the finance function evolves.

It is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being hands on, wants exposure and is excited by building something rather than inheriting a finished setup.

The Role:

This is a broad Accounting role offering strong exposure and development within a growing business.

Reporting directly into the Financial Controller, you will support the day to day running of finance while helping to improve processes, systems and reporting as the business matures.

Initially the role will be hands on. Over time, there is a clear intention to streamline and automate transactional activity, allowing the role to evolve and grow alongside the business.

This role will suit someone who has worked in an SME or scale up environment and enjoys improving processes, building structure and learning what good looks like as a business grows.

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting month end close including journals, accruals and reconciliations
  • Assisting with management accounts and internal reporting
  • Supporting AP and AR processes initially while helping to improve workflows
  • Maintaining accurate ledgers and balance sheet integrity
  • Assisting with cash flow reporting and forecasting
  • Supporting inventory and product accounting
  • Helping with audit preparation and statutory reporting
  • Working closely with the wider business to improve data quality
  • Supporting system and reporting improvements across finance tools

What they are looking for

  • Experience in an SME, start up or scale up environment
  • Comfortable working in a business that is still evolving
  • Strong core accounting skills with appetite to develop
  • Part qualified or qualified by experience
  • Happy to be hands on while processes are built
  • Curious, proactive and improvement focused
  • Enjoys working closely with a small, collaborative team

Why this role stands out

  • A chance to work closely with an experienced Financial Controller
  • Exposure to a growing pharmaceutical business with real momentum
  • A role that will evolve as systems and processes mature
  • Hybrid working with flexibility
