We Do Group is thrilled to partner with an inspiring educational organisation in Surrey to recruit an Interim Finance Director for an exciting 6–12 month assignment. Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Oversight: Manage the finance function, mentor a talented team, and ensure accurate, timely reporting
  • Strategic Collaboration: Work closely with the Executive Board on strategy, budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management
  • Process Transformation: Have the autonomy to revamp processes, implement efficiencies, and optimise financial operations
  • Compliance & Reporting: Oversee audits, HMRC submissions (VAT/corporation tax), and ensure regulatory adherence
  • Commercial Impact: Deliver financial modelling for new initiatives and scenario analyses to support growth
  • Governance & Risk: Manage company secretarial responsibilities, insurance, and contractual reviews
  • Year-End Excellence: Lead year-end reporting and audits for both group and individual entities

What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified Expertise: ACA, ACCA, CA, or CIMA qualified with proven leadership at Finance Director level
  • Hands-On & Strategic: A balance of operational oversight and commercial acumen to deliver tangible results
  • Proven Education Sector Experience: Familiarity with the unique challenges and opportunities in education finance
  • Change Management Skills: A track record of process improvement and driving efficiencies
  • Exceptional Communication: Clear, concise, and confident when engaging with stakeholders at all levels
  • Immediate Availability: Ready to hit the ground running and make an impact from day one
