We’re working with a PE-backed infrastructure business to hire a new Financial Controller. Since the fund came on board, the business has doubled its EBITDA and continues to scale with confidence.

Reporting to a high-calibre Finance Director, you’ll play a key role in shaping the finance function as the company grows. It’s a great opportunity for someone with the ambition to become a future No.1 — offering real exposure, autonomy, and the chance to step up over time.

WISH LIST

  • Strong background in financial control, audit, and reporting
  • Confident leading a team and building relationships across the business
  • Comfortable managing group consolidations and month-end processes

THE ROLE

  • Lead and develop a finance team of 5 (3 direct, 2 indirect)
  • Own the full month-end close and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee AP, AR, and nominal ledger accuracy
  • Prepare group consolidated accounts and financial statements
  • Manage the external audit and year-end process
  • Deliver cash flow forecasts and working capital management
  • Own tax, VAT, CIS, and statutory reporting
  • Drive budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Oversee finance systems, policies, and process improvement
  • Present financial data to the Board alongside the Finance Director
  • Support insurance renewals and reporting to external stakeholders

YOUR PROFILE

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
  • Effective communicator – written & verbal
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • 3+ years' post-qualified experience in a senior finance role
  • Ambitious, with the drive to grow into a future No.1 role
