Management Accountant

We’re working with a specialist engineering and technology business to hire a Management Accountant.

Operating within a structured, well run finance team, the business is at a stage where finance needs strong ownership across month end, cash and controls.

Reporting into an experienced Financial Controller, you will take responsibility for a significant portion of the month end process while supporting cash flow, payroll and core financial operations.

  • Strong month end experience with balance sheet ownership
  • Confident managing cash flow and bank reconciliations
  • Experience processing payroll and posting journals
  • Comfortable operating in a product, engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Solid Excel capability
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on improving processes and controls

THE ROLE

  • Own and deliver a disciplined month end close across your areas
  • Post journals and complete full balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage multi currency bank reconciliations
  • Prepare weekly cash flow forecasts
  • Oversee Accounts Payable payment runs and online banking
  • Take full ownership of Accounts Receivable including intercompany
  • Process monthly payroll and post relevant journals
  • Prepare VAT returns and support compliance requirements
  • Maintain and audit the fixed asset register
  • Deliver detailed OPEX reviews and cost allocations
  • Support budgeting, forecasting and audit processes
  • Assist with group reporting deadlines where required

YOUR PROFILE

  • Part qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA or strong QBE
  • Proven experience within a Management Accountant or similar role
  • Confident owning reconciliations and core financial processes
  • Hands on, organised and comfortable working in a structured environment
  • Able to operate independently while partnering closely with a Financial Controller
