Chief Financial Officer

Employment type: Permanent
Salary: 200k/year - 230k/year

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

London | Hybrid

£200,000 – £230,000 + Bonus + Benefits

We are looking for a high calibre CFO to join a Private Equity backed, fast growing business as it enters a critical stage of scale.

This is a London based role, working closely with an ambitious CEO, a highly engaged Board and experienced investors. The business is building real momentum and now needs a finance leader who can bring structure, clarity and commercial insight as it grows.

Before we go too far, this is a role for a ready made CFO or Finance Director. Someone who has already operated as the number one in finance. Not someone looking for their first step up.

We are ideally looking for someone who understands the dynamics of a Telco, B2B, wholesale or utilities environment. Someone who has operated at scale, understands complexity and can translate that into clear financial leadership.

This is not a “keep the lights on” CFO role. This is about building, shaping and driving.

Finance will sit right at the centre of the next phase. You will be expected to challenge, influence and lead from the front, whilst also ensuring the fundamentals are rock solid.

Working closely with the CEO and investors, you will operate as both a strategic partner and an operational leader, ensuring the business has the financial infrastructure, controls and insight required to scale properly.

The Role

This is a broad and high impact CFO role with full ownership of the finance function and significant influence across the business. Responsibilities will include:

  • Acting as a true partner to the CEO and Board, helping shape strategy and direction
  • Leading financial strategy, planning and long term value creation
  • Managing relationships with Private Equity investors and leading investor reporting
  • Owning board reporting, performance analysis and financial storytelling
  • Leading funding strategy, banking relationships and capital planning
  • Supporting growth initiatives, investment decisions and strategic projects
  • Overseeing Group reporting, consolidation and statutory requirements
  • Building and evolving a high performing FP&A function to drive insight
  • Ensuring strong controls, governance, audit readiness and risk management
  • Providing commercial insight to support key business decisions
  • Leading, developing and structuring the finance team as the business scales
  • Driving improvements across systems, reporting, data and automation
  • Championing the use of technology and AI within finance where it adds value
  • Ensuring finance is set up to support a scalable, high growth organisation

This role balances strategy, investor engagement and hands on leadership. You will need to be comfortable operating at both altitude and detail.

Your Profile

This will suit an experienced CFO or Finance Director who thrives in fast moving, ambitious environments.

You will likely bring:

  • Proven experience operating as the number one finance lead in a business
  • Experience within Private Equity backed or high growth environments
  • A background in telecommunications, B2B, wholesale or utilities
  • A strong technical grounding in accounting, reporting and controls
  • Strong credibility with Boards, investors and senior leadership teams
  • Experience managing funding, capital structures and investor relationships
  • The ability to combine strategic thinking with operational delivery
  • A pragmatic, hands on approach with strong commercial instinct

The Opportunity

This is a genuinely exciting CFO role within a well backed business with clear ambition.

You will play a key role in shaping strategy, driving performance and building the financial platform for future growth and value creation.

If you enjoy being in the middle of the action, working with ambitious people and making a real impact, this is one worth exploring.
