FP&A Manager

Employment type: Permanent
Salary: 50k/year - 60k/year

FP&A Manager / Operational Finance Lead

📍 Grimsby (4 days office / 1 day WFH) | 🌍 Supporting Offshore Business

💰 £50,000 – £60,000 + flexibility for the right candidate

Own the Numbers. Influence the Business. Drive Performance.

This isn’t a back-office finance role.

This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact, commercially focused position where you’ll take ownership of a €60m offshore business with strong margins (~12% EBITDA) and play a key role in shaping its financial performance.

You’ll be the go-to finance partner for operations, working closely with project teams offshore while being based in the UK.

The Role

Reporting to the Finance Director, you’ll sit at the heart of the business—combining FP&A, operational finance, and management accounting.

You’ll lead from the front, not from the sidelines.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Building and owning financial models and rolling forecasts
  • Leading budgeting and variance analysis, providing clear, actionable insights
  • Producing monthly management accounts and balance sheet reviews
  • Driving working capital performance (invoicing, cash, controls)
  • Partnering with project and operational teams to influence decision-making
  • Managing and developing a remote team offshore
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Acting as a key contact for audit and reporting cycles

What We’re Looking For

This role suits someone who enjoys being close to the detail but able to step back and see the bigger picture.

You’ll likely be:

  • A qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA)
  • From an operational finance background (not straight from practice)
  • Experienced in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or project-based environments
  • Comfortable getting hands-on with the numbers
  • Confident communicating with senior stakeholders
  • Experienced in FP&A, forecasting, and business partnering
  • Used to working in smaller or mid-sized businesses where you own the full picture
  • Ideally experienced in managing remote or international teams

Why This Role?

  • Real ownership – you’ll have visibility and influence across the business
  • Commercial impact – your insights will directly shape decisions
  • International exposure – work closely with teams in the Netherlands
  • Strong business fundamentals – profitable, growing, and operationally focused
  • Autonomy + trust – no layers of bureaucracy

Location & Flexibility

  • Based in Grimsby (4 days in office, WFH Wednesdays)
  • Travel to the Netherlands once per quarter (2–3 days)

The Bottom Line

If you’re looking for a role where you can:

  • Move beyond reporting into true business partnering
  • Take full ownership of a business unit
  • Work in a hands-on, commercially focused environment

this is the role for you.
