WOKING – 3 DAYS OFFICE / 2 HOME – PERMANENT – A hands-on role with a strong team culture

£67,000 – £70,000 + 10% bonus

Are you a Finance Manager looking for a role with real ownership? Do you thrive in a well-run finance team where accuracy, leadership and process improvement genuinely matter?

We Do Group are hiring for a Finance Manager to lead a management accounting team of four within a well-established retail business. This is a broad, hands-on role focused on month-end delivery, balance sheet quality, revenue share processes and improving how the team works.

You’ll be joining a business with a sensible approach to working hours, a supportive finance structure, and a team that needs someone confident enough to lead, review, challenge and improve.

WISH LIST

  • Strong management accounting experience, ideally in industry
  • Previous experience managing, coaching or developing a finance team
  • Someone switched on, practical and comfortable improving processes

THE ROLE

  • Manage the period-end timetable and ensure deadlines are met
  • Lead a team of four across senior and junior management accounting roles
  • Review and approve journals across revenue, rent, costs, accruals, prepayments and provisions
  • Own balance sheet reviews and ensure reconciling items are understood and actioned
  • Maintain risks and opportunities reporting ahead of month-end
  • Work closely with FP&A on month-end results, movements and final adjustments
  • Manage revenue share processes, audits and submissions
  • Challenge the team on ageing balances, unusual items and process gaps
  • Support internal and external audit activity
  • Improve month-end processes, controls and reporting quality
  • Document processes and ensure procedures are kept up to date
  • Provide steady leadership through a period of team change

YOUR PROFILE

  • Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA, CA or CIMA
  • Effective communicator – written & verbal
  • Good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Strong management accounting and balance sheet experience
  • Comfortable leading a team with mixed levels of experience

SALARY & BENEFITS

  • £67,000 – £70,000
