ASSISTANT MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTANT – PROFESSIONAL SERVICES

LONDON – 3 DAYS IN OFFICE, 2 FROM HOME – PERMANENT – A GROWING PROFESSIONAL SERVICES BUSINESS WITH A REAL FOCUS ON FINANCE DEVELOPMENT

£38,000–£43,000 + bonus

Are you a part-qualified accountant ready to take real ownership of month-end and reporting? Do you want to broaden your experience and build towards qualifying in a team that backs your progression?

We Do Group are hiring an Assistant Management Accountant for a growing specialist recruitment business in London. This is a broad role at the heart of the finance team, owning a real chunk of the month-end close, the management accounts, and the reporting that helps the business make good decisions.

It suits an early stage studier/part-qualified accountant who already has some month-end exposure and wants to round out their experience across reporting, reconciliations, and working with non-finance colleagues. There's a genuine path here too - clear progression towards a fully qualified, business-partnering role.

WISH LIST

•   Existing finance experience, ideally with some exams already passed

•   Exposure to month-end, reconciliations and journals

•   Comfortable explaining the numbers to non-finance colleagues, or ready to grow into it

THE ROLE

•   Support the month-end close, including expense allocation, intercompany recharges and revenue reporting

•   Prepare and produce accurate monthly management accounts and reporting packs to deadline

•   Perform and review account reconciliations and journals to balance sheet and P&L level

•   Support the annual statutory audit, gathering documentation and answering queries

•   Support annual budgeting and periodic reforecasting

•   Report financial information clearly to non-finance colleagues (a key part of the role)

•   Process general accounting entries (AP, AR, bank recs and daily banking)

•   Update the weekly cash flow, working capital and trends

•   Reconcile revenue weekly between the CRM and the accounting system

•   Maintain the general ledger, keeping it accurate and complete

•   Support ad-hoc finance projects and analysis as required

•   Work closely with the finance team to keep priorities and reporting on track

YOUR PROFILE

•   Early stage studier/part-qualified accountant (ACCA or CIMA), with some exams passed

•   Effective communicator - written and verbal

•   Good working knowledge of MS Excel (pivots, lookups, sumifs)

•   Experience supporting month-end close, reconciliations and journals

•   Comfortable working across finance and with non-finance colleagues

•   Any exposure to Xero or Workday Adaptive Planning is a bonus, not essential

SALARY & BENEFITS

•   £38,000–£43,000 + discretionary bonus

•   London: 3 days in the office (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday), 2 from home

•   Permanent role

•   Full study support towards ACCA or CIMA

•   25 days holiday + bank holidays

•   Clear progression towards a fully qualified role
