Credit Controller

Key responsibilities include:

Credit Control – Chasing Outstanding debts

• Proactively manage and recover outstanding debt through regular contact with customers via telephone, email and other appropriate communication channels;

• Investigate, resolve and follow up on invoice and payment queries in a timely manner;

• Escalate aged debt, non-payment issues and unresolved disputes promptly to the Accounts Supervisor and Financial Controller;

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, establishing key points of contact to support effective debt recovery and issue resolution;

• Discussing with the Operations team for any queries, concerns and/or pro-forma payments which need clarification;

• Organising credit control meetings monthly with Financial Controller and Accounts Supervisor, and providing relevant commentary and updates

• Assisting in the preparation of relevant reports; particularly around outstanding rent due and credit card charges

• Assisting customers with the reconciliation of their accounts

• Support customers with account reconciliations and the resolution of account discrepancies through regular issuance of statements and re-issuance of invoices;

• Monitor customer credit limits and payment terms, highlighting concerns and recommending appropriate actions where necessary.

Credit Control – Booking Receipts

• Process daily credit card payments for Payment Before Departure (PBD) accounts through PDQ systems;

• Record and allocate all cash, credit card and bank receipts accurately within Access Financials;

• Investigate and resolve unallocated cash and payment discrepancies in a timely manner.

Other

• Provide support to the revenue and accounts payable teams to ensure workloads are managed effectively and financial records remain up to date;

• Assist the Accounts Supervisor with month-end tasks, reconciliations and other finance-related activities where required;

• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the finance function, helping to enhance processes, controls and efficiencies;

• Respond to finance-related queries from colleagues and stakeholders across the business in a professional and timely manner;

• Ensure compliance with all accounting policies, financial procedures and internal controls;

• Undertake ad hoc finance, administration and reporting duties as required by the Accounts Supervisor or Financial Controller.
