Head of Strategic Finance

Employment type: Permanent
Salary: 100k/year - 115k/year

£100,000 to £115,000 plus exceptional benefits and flexible working

Commutable from Wimbledon. Two days in office.

Some finance jobs are about spreadsheets. This one is about building something commercial and impactful that the business actually care about.

This is a chance to join one of the most loved household retail brands in the UK, the sort of business people recognise on their high street, in their homes and on their phones. Consumer obsessed, beautifully branded, fast growing and genuinely ambitious. Even though they are the top of the game.

You will not be a back office finance leader here. You will be right at the heart of the story.

Working hand in hand with an exceptional CFO and leadership team, you will help shape strategy, launch new products, drive growth and make big commercial decisions that really matter. There is a clear and realistic path to Finance Director for someone who wants it.

This is a proper CFO in the making role.

Why this is special

You will be joining a business with an amazing team and culture. Smart, kind, driven people who want to do things better, not just bigger. They care about their customers, their brand and each other.

The finance team is already strong, but they want a Head of Commercial Finance who can take it to the next level. Someone who loves turning numbers into stories, insight into action and ideas into results.

This is not about reporting what happened. It is about influencing what happens next.

What you will do

You will lead a high performing FP&A and Commercial Finance team and become the commercial engine of the business.

You will:

  • Own forecasting, budgeting and long range planning across the group.
  • Work directly with the CFO, CEO and Exec team on growth, performance and strategy.
  • Build and challenge business cases for new products, projects and investments.
  • Use data, Power BI and smart analysis to spot opportunities and risks early.
  • Drive automation and better ways of working across finance.
  • Partner senior leaders across marketing, operations and product.
  • Present to the board and help steer big commercial decisions.

You will be seen as a trusted advisor, not just a numbers person.

Who this is for

This is for someone on a fast track. A bright, commercial, humble finance leader who wants more influence, more exposure and more impact.

You probably already know you want to be a Finance Director one day. You just want to get there the right way.

You will bring:

  • ACA, CIMA or equivalent qualification.
  • A strong FP&A and commercial finance background.
  • Experience in consumer, retail, eCommerce or FMCG.
  • A commercial, curious and innovative mindset.
  • Strong Excel and Power BI skills.
  • The confidence to influence senior stakeholders and present at board level.

Package

£100,000 to £115,000 plus exceptional benefits and flexible working.

If you want a finance role where you can genuinely shape a brand, a team and a future CFO career, this one is worth a proper look.

This is one of those roles people look back on and say, that was the move that changed everything.
