Commercial Finance Business Partner

Employment type: Permanent
Salary: 75k/year - 80k/year

Commercial Finance Business Partner

Amsterdam | Hybrid, 2 to 3 days in the office

€80,000+ | Excellent benefits

We Do Group are partnering with an international, PE-backed consumer business to recruit a Commercial Finance Business Partner into a newly developing finance function.

This is a brilliant opportunity for someone bright, commercial and ambitious who wants a role with real breadth.

You will sit at the centre of Commercial Finance, FP&A and Supply Finance, connecting the numbers with what is actually happening across the business.

This is not a traditional reporting role.

You will be expected to understand the full P&L, challenge assumptions, influence decisions and help commercial and operational teams improve performance across a portfolio of international markets.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading planning, forecasting and performance reporting
  • Owning regional P&L and working capital analysis
  • Partnering with Sales, Commercial, Supply and regional leadership teams
  • Supporting decisions around revenue, pricing, margin and profitability
  • Reviewing trade investment, promotions and return on investment
  • Challenging commercial teams and helping improve decision-making
  • Monitoring supply costs and identifying efficiency opportunities
  • Supporting budgeting and forecasting across commercial and supply areas
  • Producing clear reporting, analysis and presentations for senior stakeholders
  • Supporting cross-functional projects across a changing international business
  • Bringing commercial, supply and financial performance into one joined-up view

What are we looking for?

  • 3 to 5 years of relevant finance experience
  • Strong commercial finance, FP&A or business partnering background
  • Comfortable owning and understanding a full P&L
  • Experience across planning, forecasting and management reporting
  • Confident challenging Sales and Commercial stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
  • Advanced Excel and confidence working with finance systems
  • Experience within an international or matrix organisation
  • FMCG or consumer products experience would be useful
  • Distributor market experience would be valuable but is not essential

More importantly, they want someone engaging, bright and talented.

Someone who can connect with people across the wider business.

Someone who understands the numbers but can also explain what they mean, challenge thinking and help drive action.

The team is lean and the environment is fast-moving, so they need someone entrepreneurial, proactive and comfortable working outside a narrow job description.

This will suit someone who wants more responsibility, more exposure and more influence than they would get in a traditional finance role.

It is an opportunity to join a PE-backed business at an exciting point in its journey and help build how commercial finance operates across an international organisation.
