Senior Procurement Specialist

Technology | SaaS | PE Backed | Transformation

£50,000 + Benefits

Hybrid Working

We Do Group are partnering with a growing, PE-backed technology business to recruit a Senior Procurement Specialist into its Group Procurement function.

The business is continuing to grow, invest and evolve, creating a brilliant opportunity for someone who loves procurement but doesn’t want to sit in a slow, heavily layered environment.

You’ll have real ownership, real stakeholder exposure and the opportunity to influence how a PE-backed business buys technology and services.

The role is hands-on and broad, taking ownership of end-to-end sourcing across a significant portfolio of third-party spend.

Think Software. SaaS. Cloud. Hosting. IT Services. Professional Services.

You’ll work directly with senior spend owners, challenge requirements, take opportunities to market and lead commercial negotiations alongside Legal.

This is about much more than processing renewals.

They want someone commercially sharp who can look at a supplier relationship, understand the opportunity and ask:

Are we buying the right thing?

Are we paying the right price?

Could we negotiate this better?

And do we actually need it?

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?

  • Owning end-to-end sourcing across technology and services spend
  • Leading software, SaaS, cloud, hosting and IT services procurement
  • Managing new deals, renewals and contract negotiations
  • Partnering with senior stakeholders to understand and challenge requirements
  • Negotiating pricing models, commercial terms, renewals and exit arrangements
  • Managing the pipeline of upcoming contracts and renewals
  • Identifying cost savings and supplier rationalisation opportunities
  • Improving procurement processes, controls and ways of working
  • Supporting supplier performance through clear KPIs and reviews
  • Working with Legal, Finance and Compliance across supplier risk and governance
  • Supporting ethical and sustainable procurement

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

  • Strong end-to-end procurement experience
  • Technology, Software, SaaS or IT Services procurement experience would be ideal
  • Commercially confident and comfortable leading negotiations
  • Experience with licensing, SaaS and consumption-based pricing models
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills
  • Comfortable challenging requirements and presenting recommendations
  • Experience managing supplier and contract renewal pipelines
  • Good understanding of supplier risk, governance and compliance
  • Detail focused without losing sight of the commercial picture
  • Someone who enjoys operating at pace and taking ownership

More importantly, they want someone with commercial curiosity.

Someone who enjoys negotiating.

Someone who can build relationships with stakeholders but isn’t afraid to challenge them.

Someone who can spot an opportunity to save money, improve terms or simplify a supplier landscape and then actually make it happen.

This is an opportunity to join a growing, PE-backed technology business where Procurement has visibility, influence and the opportunity to make a genuine impact.
